PAT TESTING
As an employer and a landlord you have a duty of care to make sure that all electrical appliances are routinely tested and are in a safe state. This following in line with the IET Code of Practice latest edition.
It's easy to overlook a faulty wire or appliance, so pat testing ensures that nothing goes to miss and is tested to make sure it's electrical safe.

WHAT IS A PAT TEST?

VISUAL: Visual test is carried out on the appliance to look for any damage

PLUG TOP CHECK: We open plug top to check connections and correct fuses for appliance

ELECTRICAL TEST: Depending on type each appliance goes through a series of tests to check its electrical safe. All the results are then recorded for the test results certification.

LABELS: Each appliance will be labelled with a DATE, Re-TEST DATE and appliance number.

TEST RECORDS: All appliances will be logged and recorded PASS/FAIL. These then put into a certificate for your records
